Earth Hour and Beeswax

Hi CleanLifers,
Just a remember that Earth Hour 2009 is on Saturday, March 28th at 8:30pm in each and every time zone. So switch off your lights for an hour (or more!!) and help the movement. Please tell your friends and for more info visit http://www.earthhour.org
Some of you will know that I am addicted to Queen B, beeswax candles. 100% pure beeswax candles are carbon neutral and have a naturally delicious light honey smell. They help to purify the air and bring on the romance.
Here are some facts from Queen B (www.queenb.com.au);
* Beeswax (wholesale) as a raw material costs over 50 times the price of paraffin and 20 times the price of soy & palm waxes... and yet Queen B candles are but a fraction more expensive than their toxic cousins
* Queen B candles are all handmade right here in Sydney, Australia (not China)... that keeps jobs in Australia (assuming that someone is buying the candles)
according to the organisers of Earth Hour (the World Wildlife Fund) the ONLY candles that are carbon neutral are 100% pure beeswax
* If you switch off your lights and light candles an hour before bed, you will sleep better (medical fact... because your adrenals slow down production of cortisol which keeps you awake and your brain begins production of melatonin)
Considering all the good times to be had by candle-light, Queen B candles are a great way to see out the recession.

Thanks for promoting Earth Hour! Another way you can recruit people to the cause is by creating a Earth Hour group on Commit21.com. Simply create a group about one action that you will commit to do for Earth Hour and recruit your friends, family, and co-workers to get involved in that action as well. When it comes to climate change, simple actions can make huge differences and Commit21 leverages social media to influence networks of friends, family, and co-workers. Check it out at http://www.commit21.com/
